Long gone are the days of the average Ford Crown Victoria police cars. In the past few years, we’ve seen some pretty gnarly rides make their way onto various police forces. But which of these six sleek police cars are our favorite? Which is the one you’d least want to see in your rearview? Check out the list below to find out:
famous infamous for adding a touch of insanity to some of the world’s most capable sportscars. Like the Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari F12, and many others before it, the McLaren MP4-12C was the latest in a long lineup to get the DMC treatment. But insanity isn’t always a bad thing.
G-Power is Germany’s renowned M3 specialists. Taking the already capable M3, these tuners transform it into one badass luxury coupe/sedan. With BMW’s latest coupe on its way out (in place of the M4), G-Power made a point to send it off in a blaze of glory with the M3 Hurricane RS.
If you ever need to take a note in stunning design, look no further than an Italian-born, high-performance sportscar. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani — just to name a few — all have some of the most radical, jaw-dropping features to grace our green Earth. It’s damn near close to automotive pornography.
As you can probably gather from the internet, it’s SEMA time in Las Vegas. Over the weekend, on another popular blog we won’t name, some cool hipster wrote about how all his skinny-jean-wearing pals thought SEMA was lame, stupid and “Very American.” Here’s the truth, champ: SEMA ain’t for you. It’s one of the world’s largest most spectacular trade shows, and it’s where the industry – both OEM and aftermarket – gets a huge chunk of business done. So straighten your ironic trucker hat, twirl your waxed mustache ends and get hip to why this “Very American” event is the envy of the rest of the planet:
‘Ordinary’ isn’t a description usually reserved for the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The body lines are stunning, the 6.2-liter V8 is powerful, and as we’ve seen, it has some performance chops. But when comparing your standard Corvette Stingray to one procured by Texan tuners Hennessey, ‘ordinary’ seems to be the only word that makes sense.
If you thought that Hyundai, or Scion, or Ford were ready for SEMA — they have nothing on the Bowtie Brand. Take a chapter from the book of Chevy on how to prepare for the world’s largest aftermarket show. A herd of Corvettes, Camaros, and SS vehicles are headed for Vegas.
If you ever tune in to Discovery Channel’s Fast N’ Loud, you know that the boys over at Gas Monkey Garage are a rowdy bunch fond of burnouts and making things go fast. Their Ferrari F40 build — which we’ve featured in the past — was one of the Texas tuners biggest projects to date. But hows about something a little more all-American?
One of our favorite shows of the year is right around the corner — SEMA. Unlike other big name auto shows, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show is filled to the brim with tuners and aftermarket purveyors galore. SEMA features some of the most insane and ridiculously cool cars we’ve ever seen.
This year, the biggest names in the aftermarket world– and a few OEM’s– are making their way to Vegas. Here’s what you can expect when doors open next week:
One of our favorite goof off err, research activities here at BoldRide HQ is to head for eBay Motors, select “Other Makes” and see what shows up. This week, it’s a 1985 Bitter SC, with 66,000 original miles. Never heard of Bitter? Read on.
