The Audi R8 is simply an awesome car. If it went unchanged for another 10 years, it would still be the most comfortable, drivable supercar available and one of the most advanced cars on the road.
But keeping up with the Joneses is kind of the name of the game for any modern car-no matter how unbelievable. To that end, Audi is updating the R8, and it’s been spotted testing on Germany’s famed Nurburgring. Thankfully, they are not messing too much with a good thing.
Renault’s new sports car, the Alpine A110-50 was leaked before its scheduled debut this Friday at the Monaco Grand Prix. The A110-50 marks and celebrates 50 years since the original introduction of the Alpine A110. The A110-50 borrows styling cues from the Renault DeZir Concept, which was introduced at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Allegedly packed with 400 hp and a 3.5 V6 engine, this ride should deliver. We’ll stay on top of this story.
Maybe. These renderings have been floating around the web as a possible look for the 2015 Ford Mustang which has a release date scheduled on it’s 50th anniversary. At first glance, the look is a departure from the current model and feels more modern and a bit less “muscle retro.” Depending on who you ask that may or may not be a good thing. But what’s undeniable, is that you can feel a little bit of Aston Martin here and that’s never a bad thing.
For years there have been rumors about a Lamborghini SUV coming to market – and this might just be it. Back in the 1980′s, they made a Hummer-ish looking monster called the LM 002 which was a huge beast. Their entry back in is more on brand, thankfully. The rumor mill hit a peak over the last couple of weeks as the web buzzed that Lambos SUV would be called the Deimos. As the Beijing Auto Show rounds the corner, these photos ended up on the web. And we like them.
The specs are unknown, but it allegedly will share the Gallardo‘s engine. That would mean there would be a punchy 5.2 LV10 under the hood with a maximum output of 584 hp. Here are some more of the pictures leaked…
