Every year the Gumball 3000 presents some of the most gorgeously dressed supercars on the planet. This year- as all the festivities kicked off this past Saturday, May 18th- we were in for quite a show.
With the usual suspect Lamborghinis and Ferraris taking place, newer faces like Koenigsegg, McLaren and even a few custom built cars were in the lineup. We won’t waste time on details, but here’s some of the most radical rides from the 2013 Gumball 3000 lineup:

Sigh…to be a member of the Dubai Police force. Not only do they patrol some of the wealthiest streets in the world, filled with some of the most exotic vehicles known to man, but on occasion, they also get to drive said exotics as well.

It’s like when the playoffs for hockey and basketball are over, and you are left with meaningless baseball games to watch until football seasons start. Doldrums, man. Let me tell you. Anyways, that means we can turn our attention away from the unveiling of the next Japanese full-size crossover, and towards fun motorsport car-culture stories! So kick back, take a nice long sip from that no-whip soy mocha latte, and prepare to get a weeks worth of auto news blasted all in your general direction!
The Z/28 was introduced into the Camaro lineup in the early 70s- and as they say, the rest is history. It soon became one of the most iconic and high performance muscle cars on the market. With early models sporting a more powerful 5.7L V8, the Z/28 was considered one of the first cars in the market to overtake the highly touted Ford Mustang.
Many have called it “America’s Car” with the same hubris as calling the Dallas Cowboys “America’s Team.” Such a fervent defense of a single car as the apogee of American motoring could only be the product of the self-involved bigwigs over at General Motors. I feel for the fanboys of the Chevrolet Camaro; they have been toyed with and abused, ever since the departure of the fourth-generation Camaro in 2002. After axing Pontiac and the Camaro throughout the 2000’s, GM brought back the Camaro like it was no big deal. It brought tears to the eyes of American Muscle fans, which in turn induced eye-rolling from European and Japanese onlookers. Though the result of terrific marketing, let’s be straight about one thing: the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro is a great American car, which has a full boat of caveats, which we shall dissect now…
Ever since the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, we have not stopped drooling. With updated, agressive lines, a fire-breathing 7.0-liter V8 under the hood and enough track-ready gear to get in a heap of trouble, Chevy did good with the new Camaro. That said, what if the new Camaro’s styling just isn’t enough for you? It was not enough for one designer, and here is what he did about it.
