The Cadillac Elmiraj concept drew quite the crowd when it premiered this past weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey, CA. Based on the Ciel concept we saw last year- it featured a closed roof, sharpened angles, and made for one drop-dead gorgeous concept.
But what if they actually put the Elmiraj into production? Cadillac exec Bob Ferguson told Automotive News that it “is very doable.” He continued on to say, “The car is marketable. It’s practical enough to be put through the production process.”
If the Elmiraj did hit the lineup as the brand’s big bold halo car, it wouldn’t do so until after 2015 when engineers complete development of the large rear-drive sedan upon which the concept would be based.
Don’t forget- the Elmiraj comes with a twin-turbocharged 500-hp V8 and is just about three inches longer than the current top-of-the-range XTS.
