The long wait is over folks; meet the all-new BMW M4 concept, in the flesh. Following some leaked images only but a few hours ago, BMW dropped official news and first pictures of the stunning new coupe. They even had enough sense to do so in the signature Phoenix Yellow once synonymous with performance BMW’s of past.
At first glance, you’ll notice that the M4 doesn’t stray much from the production 4-Series we saw earlier this year. A sleek set of body lines, a long, swooping hood. The curvature meets some new aerodynamic features both front and back, 20-inch M rims, badges and a menacing quad exhaust.
What’s under the hood, you ask? Well, that’s still the question at hand. BMW won’t give us official details just yet. But rumor has it, we should see a turbocharged inline-6, making somewhere near 450-hp, and the possibility of an optional manual transmission.
As Pebble Beach festivities are underway, expect more details including official specs on the M4 to be revealed sooner rather than later. And you can catch the M4 on display at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
