The news is in, and Audi is officially planning yet another Quattro concept to take the stage at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Dubbed the Quattro Sport E-Tron Concept, the new sportscar takes a turn in a different direction from previous with a hybrid drivetrain.
Under the hood, reports from Auto Zeitung tell us the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 found on the RS6 and RS7 will be hopped up to 700-hp with a little help from the E-Tron hybrid system. Top speed on the Quattro will sit at a handsome 205 mph and 62 mph will be managed somewhere in the three second mark.
On the outside, the concept sports much of a similar design from the Quattro concepts of past, albeit with a bit more of an angular front grille, paired to the same stubby back end.
More details on the concept should emerge as the Quattro takes to the stage next month in Frankfurt.
