The measure of any well-endowed sportscar/supercar, is just how fast can they make it to 60 mph (96 km/h). If it’s anywhere under four seconds, that’s pretty impressive. But when the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo arrives in showrooms, rumor has it Godzilla could manage a 0-60 mph time of two seconds. Flat.
At two seconds even, this would make the GT-R Nismo one of the fastest production vehicles to 60 mph. Question is- can it really happen? Sitting down with AutoExpress, an engineer from Williams (the team partly responsible for developing the GT-R) had this to say:
“You’d be surprised at how much room for improvement there is– even with a car like the GT-R. Where you expect it’s all been tuned to the maximum, it’s actually easy to make big gains.” Sound promising.
So teaming up with all this newfound performance, the GT-R Nismo is also expected to come loaded with carbon fiber aerodynamics along with a host of other body modifications.
So far, official details on this ultimate Godzilla are still very much under wraps. But expect the GT-R Nismo to make an appearance sometime early next year.
