This is some pretty exciting news; TVR is officially returning, with new vehicles on the way very soon. Coming off reports only yesterday that the website had been updated with the phrase “Never Say Never…” new talks with company officials can now confirm everyone’s suspicions.
Speaking with Piston Heads, head of marketing for umbrella firm VIT Technology said that the company is hard at work “coming up with a detailed plan.” This “plan” regarding the idea for a Ferrari-rivaling sportscar from a newly revived TVR. “It’ll probably have totally new styling. The engine we haven’t decided on.”
This news comes alongside reports that new owner Les Edgar- who purchased the rights to the TVR name and all the equipment and parts for manufacturing- promised a detailed plan of attack as well regarding new vehicles.
With some new management under the TVR nameplate, they say that any trace of the Sagaris or Tuscan will be completely scrapped in place of a brand new vehicle. We just hope this return proves more fruitful than it did under Smolensky back in 2004.
