For all you children of the 90s, the name Gran Turismo might ring a bell. After 15 years, five installments in and a three year hiatus from the previous GT5, the development team just announced the sixth installment in the racing series. And we’re damn excited to hear it.
Right off the bat, Gran Turismo 6 promises 1,200 vehicles with 33 distinct racing locations (71 layouts), and that’s not including packs available at a later date loading up with more tracks and more cars. And of each new car available, you’ll be able to go inside the team’s aerodynamics board and tweak and turn bits to your little hearts desire.
From the trailer alone we’re seeing cars like the Alpine, Alfa Romeo Zagato, Toyota GT 86, Lamborghini Countach, Nissan GT-R, and even the Tesla Model S. All of which, should be available from the start.
The latest polished-up installment of the game will be available for PS3 (also compatible with PS4) sometime at the end of the year.
