As Gumpert sat in supercar limbo for close to eight months since its filing for insolvency last August, the specialty automaker has since looked for new customers and investors to re-ignite the brand. In doing so, it seems like the brand might have found the perfect investor and will be moving forward with new projects.
At last week’s Geneva Motor Show, Motor Authority managed to snag up some details as to the future of the brand by founder and CEO Roland Gumpert: “Our distribution and dealer networks are being expanded worldwide and sister models will soon be added to the Apollo”
This is good news for any fans of the 750-hp Apollo or of the brand in general. He even went on to say that the next new Gumpert will go on display at a “major trade fair” sometime in 2013. No official details on time or place.
