The Scion FR-S Convertible is coming, no doubt about it. Following speculation of the drop-top derivative, we showed you real-live spy shots of the car being prepped. Now, Toyota has gone and blown the roof off speculation with this rendered FT-86 Open Concept. Based on concept “86″3, this is one of the near-production variations of the concept before it was a finalized vehicle. Concept or no, all signs point to the FR-S Convertible being a stunning vehicle, and these renders back it up.
As it is one of the earlier FT 86 concepts, the interior is far more punched-up than the standard car. The dash is a color-matched white, with the “boxer” logo next to a set of instruments. Where the interior really kicks up is with the yellow sticthing and floor mats. It is very nearly a lemon yellow, but actually seems to work in the cabin of this concept.
Yellow, orange, fuchsia– who cares what color the floor is. This is the best look at what a Scion FR-S Convertible will look like, and we can’t wait for the official version to drop!
