What a week, people. As you can see, we’ve stepped our game up and started going whole-hog on news coverage. Frankly, I feel like J.Jonah Jameson at the Daily Bugle, but we’re not after candid photos of Spider-Man. No, were trying to track down the biggest stories of the week. Here is a roundup of what you may have missed:
As Many Turbos As Wheels: If the news of the 918 hybrid-supercar, Porsche is apparently working on something called a 960 (directly above). Supposedly, it will have an eight-cylinder boxer engine with four turbochargers! Automobile Magazine has some renders and they look positively filthy!
Holy rusted metal, Batman! The original Batmobile sold for $4.62 million at auction. That’s a record for a TV/movie car, beating out the previous record holder, the Aston Martin DB4 from “Goldfinger,” by $11,500.
Barn Find of a Lifetime: Speaking of Aston Martin, a DB5 was found in Buckingshire, which is a real place in England that sounds like a made-up place in England. It’s going to be auctioned at the Bonham’s auction, which is where you typically sell European classics valued at over $300,00.
Thanks for reading, everybody. Drink lots of water before the Super Bowl and designated a sober driver!!!
