I watched the Puppy Bowl, and it was damn entertaining. Fluff Cam? Totally worth it. Touchdowns? Penalties? Ray Lewis’ double-homicide? Who needs ‘em. What really matters, is that the adorable and endlessly entertaining Puppy Bowl pulled in (as usual) some of the highest ratings for Animal Planet. And Subaru was there to lay on the advertising.
You see, rather than deal with the almighty’s favorite broadcasting station- CBS, Subaru went in a different direction and unleashed a whole boat load of puppy and kitten based ads during the not-so-big game. Doggone great marketing.
We assume this led to some house ridden animal owners considering a new Outback or Forester for them and their favorite companion in the very near future. We did.
