I do not often watch NASCAR. I’ll tune into a road course race to see how men who make a living drive around an oval helplessly careen through a road course where one actually must make a right hand turn
But when I do watch, this is the reason why. Call me morbid, sick, or what-have-you, but a darn good percentage of NASCAR fans are there for the same exact reason, and we got our reward with this massive crash during the last lap of the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500. The terribly-named Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500, is also aptly-named, because 25 cars definitely needed a hand after this massive NASCAR crash.
Matt Kenseth was able to eek through the carnage unscathed and went onto win. But you don’t need the details, just enjoy the crash. And don’t feel ashamed for watching, if NASCAR didn’t celebrate the crash, they would not call it ‘The Big One.”
